Separation reason Hidden here on purpose. Disciplinary and separation narratives live in restricted HR notes — visible to Operations Managers, Payroll and Admins only, the same rule the Discipline & notes tab on the employee record follows. This checklist has to run the same way whether the story behind it is a layoff or a policy violation, so nothing below depends on knowing which.

Same list of items as the Equipment tab on the employee record, read the other direction: assignment ranges that were open are the ones this checklist has to close. Nothing here is deleted — an assignment gets an end date, the same as it would if the item were simply reassigned.

This is the one act that ends access, and it is the only one that needs to happen. There is no Wilkinson-owned account to disable — Sawyer signed in with a personal address, claimed once with an emailed one-time code and a password of their own choosing, exactly like every other field employee. IT never controlled that inbox and cannot switch it off. What IT controls is this row: without it, that email and that password unlock nothing, because the system checks the admitted list on every sign-in, not just the first one.

The same row, both directions An offer becoming a hire adds a row to this list with a role attached — you saw that moment in the hiring pipeline. A termination removes it. Nothing else about identity changes in between, which is what makes the revocation a one-line, one-second fact instead of a checklist of systems to log into. See the admission moment →

Being confirmed
The handbook disagrees with itself, so this screen is not guessing. Your own text reads: "Unused PTO will be paid out upon separation, initiated by the employee. Any unclaimed PTO upon termination, within one year of employment, will be forfeited." One reading pays out on a resignation and forfeits on an involuntary termination like this one; the other forfeits only inside the first year of employment, regardless of how it ended — and Sawyer is two years in, which is exactly the case where the two readings disagree. This is a Utah wage-payment question, not a product decision, and it needs a written, counsel-reviewed answer before the 22.00 hours above becomes a dollar figure. Until then the value stays labelled being confirmed rather than showing a number we picked.

Sage still calculates the actual payment — gross-to-net, taxes, the payout itself. This screen's job is narrower: know the balance, know that the rule is unsettled, and never quietly resolve it in either direction.

What this screen teaches. Offboarding is not onboarding backwards — property comes back on its own schedule, access ends the instant someone decides it should, and pay follows a rule your own handbook does not agree on. Three different kinds of "done," tracked as three different facts, none of them faked to make the screen look finished. A demo that shows a confident number here would be lying about the one thing this page exists to get right.
